I have ZERO interest in the political content on digg. but I would also like to explore the communities on digg. If I could see particularly active communities without having to scroll through political discourse that would be very appreciated.

I'd put a banner at the top of the page that says "This is the beta", a link to a mission statement or something, a link to a changelog/roadmap, a link to FAQ's. ~60px, goes away when you scroll, dismissable. Would cut down on a lot of (understandable) repeat questions/complain

In the app, there are three dots on a user's profile to report them or block them. Unless I'm missing something, this is not available on the web version. I'm using a Mac Mini with Opera browser.

Preferably, the option to block. Otherwise, it'll be like reddit or twitter where I'm seeing things in my "for you" page that I don't care about. Thoughts?

By hot-topics in my opinion are topics that provoke emotions. For example, there has been posts regarding, Sir Alex, the veteran and nurse who was executed by ICE. These post are much needed in spreading awareness of the horrific crimes committed by ICE. It seems like the idiots

I have been blocked from starting a community for rational debate several times now. The rising discourse is leaning heavily to the left. Digg is pretty much just Reddit Jr. and isn't worth the effort. Don't waste your energy if you are looking to build bridges between people.
