Suspect dead, San Jose PD sergeant hospitalized following pursuit – NBC Bay Area

A suspect was killed and a San Jose police sergeant was hospitalized following a multi-county pursuit that started when a green Corvette was carjacked at a Chevrolet dealership in San Jose. The pursuit ended in Hollister, where a shootout occurred and the suspect was found by San Benito County deputies. The suspect then carjacked another vehicle and drove to San Jose, where he was killed in a shootout with police. The injured sergeant is in stable but critical condition.
