Life Hack: The Two Minute Rule
If something takes less than two minutes, just do it now. Reply to that email, put the dishes in the dishwasher, hang up the coat, whatever. I used to let tiny tasks pile up and then feel overwhelmed by this huge mental list of stuff I had to do. But most of it was actually small things I could knock out immediately. Once I started following this rule those little things stopped stacking up and my brain felt way less cluttered. The big tasks are still there but at least they're not buried under a mountain of stuff that would have taken me 90 seconds.
