LPT: Freeze your credit with all three bureaus if you rarely apply for new credit

Social security numbers gets leaked all the time, and a credit freeze adds an extra step that prevents someone from opening new cards or loans in your name without a password. You can unfreeze it temporarily when you actually need to apply. And unlike a credit card where you can easily get a new card, if your ssn gets leaked once, you're going to have to do this anyways
