Microsoft brings the Xbox app to Arm-based Windows 11 PCs
Microsoft has released the Xbox app for Arm-based Windows 11 PCs, enabling local game downloads, improved emulator support, and better gaming experiences on Snapdragon laptops. Over 85% of the Game Pass catalog is now compatible, and with Xbox Cloud Gaming as a fallback, the experience is less limiting. The Prism emulator now supports AVX and AVX2 instructions, allowing more modern PC games to run. Epic Anti-Cheat is also now supported on Arm-based Windows 11 PCs, making games like Fortnite and Gears of War Reloaded playable without hacks. Microsoft is treating Arm as a real gaming platform, coordinating with OEMs, silicon partners, and game studios.
