I saw a thread recently where a founder built a feature-rich QR code tool but had zero marketing and zero revenue. They were asking for advice on listing it on Acquire to avoid the "promotion" phase.
The community response was pretty harsh: "It’s hard to get a $0 revenue startup listed, let alone sold."
It got me thinking about how we (as founders) often overvalue the Asset (the code/product) and undervalue the traction (the cash flow).
I've been looking at the numbers, and it seems like the market value of a "finished tool" with 0 users is basically the same as an "idea"—near zero.
