Mobile customer call and text data captured from satellite comms
Researchers from UC San Diego and UMD intercepted unencrypted satellite communications, exposing T-Mobile, government, and utility data using an $800 satellite receiver.
As a SatCom guy, can confirm. This was before they started using Starlink.
