China’s new tech war tactics: PhD students can now graduate with product instead of thesis
China has introduced a new approach in its engineering education, allowing PhD students to graduate with a product instead of a traditional thesis, as part of a nationwide pilot program aimed at addressing critical engineering challenges and competing with the US in key technological areas.
This is what the US has to deal with. A competing country trying to actively usurp our world status by changing college requirement rules and to have people build tangible products. Meanwhile the US still looks at college as a for-profit industry and framework for debt slavery (and that help employers will power over there the employees and keep them in submission).
