The AI Gold Rush Is Ending (The Gold Isn’t)
Every big tech shift has this phase where everyone kinda loses their mind.
AI is deep in that phase right now.
Suddenly everything is “AI-powered.” Decks full of buzzwords, products that half work, founders selling vibes and screenshots instead of something real. Feels less like innovation and more like a digital gold rush—stakes in the ground everywhere, actual gold… maybe.
And gold rushes don’t end gently.
Most people don’t strike it rich. A lot of companies quietly disappear. The hype drains out, money tightens up, and everyone pretends they were always “long-term focused.”
That’s not artificial intelligence failing. That’s the noise burning off.
The tech itself is very real. It’s not going anywhere. Models will keep getting better, cheaper, more useful. AI will stop being impressive and start being invisible—just another layer you rely on without thinking about it.
No one brags about using the internet anymore. Same thing will happen here.
So yeah, the bubble might pop. Some stuff will break. Some startups will vanish.
That’s fine.
Because what’s left won’t be flashy or loud—but it’ll actually work. And honestly, that’s when things finaly get interesting.
What’s your take on it?
