Stewart Cheifet, the PBS host who chronicled the personal computer revolution through his show 'Computer Chronicles,' passed away at 87. He produced over 400 episodes, demystifying tech for millions, and interviewed industry giants like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs.
Stewart Cheifet produced more than 400 episodes of TV tracing the rise of personal computing. Computer Chronicles from 1983-2002, a magic era. Between 1996 and 2002 he also produced Net Cafe. The episodes have been preserved, the ones missed in the first preservation will be available with the new re-digitization.
