Does the strategy for Spider Solitaire 4 Suits require a completely different mindset than standard Klondike?

I consider myself decent at regular solitaire, but every time I try the 4-suit Spider variation, I get stuck almost immediately. I have been practicing on onlinecardgames.io/ to try and improve my win rate, but the jump in difficulty feels massive compared to the standard game. For those who play both, do you prioritize emptying columns differently in Spider, or do I just need more patience?
