Failed Desoldering Attempt - Success with Help

Sometimes you need the right tool for the job, and sometimes you need the right person.

I attempted to remove and replace the joystick modules from an Xbox Series X controller to replace them, but was unable to get the modules desoldered.

Ended up calling in an expert (my father) to assist.

Turns out I needed some better desoldering braid, a little more heat, and some experience I didn’t yet have.

Job completed successfully, and joystick drift resolved.

What I gleaned from this - don’t be afraid to ask for help.
