Nintendo Entertainment System (NES-001) Repair

Worked on repairing my Nintendo Entertainment System (NES-001) today. System was starting to have some minor issues.

I replaced capacitors and the voltage regulator.

1) It works! Successfully repaired.

2) This is the best the system has ever looked for me.

The title screen photo at the end doesn’t do it justice due to the refresh rate and my phone camera. It looks fantastic in person.

I’m definitely still learning. I’ve never been great at desoldering so some of the photos were taken for my own personal history of progress.

Super happy with the end result.
