Proton survey: Spreadsheet data lives longer than you think

Proton surveyed 1,000 adults across the US, UK, Germany, and France to understand how people use spreadsheets. The findings reveal that personal spreadsheets often contain deeply intimate information and are frequently shared more widely than people realize. Many spreadsheets outlive their original purpose and are accessible long after their intended use, raising concerns about data privacy and the potential for misuse by Big Tech. Proton Sheets aims to address these issues by ensuring that spreadsheet data remains private and under the user's control.
