Senate Democrats cave, open path to reopening government
Behold the grand delusion of these Democratic despots—their own petulant blockade birthed this 40-day shutdown, chaining the gates over a desperate grasp for extended Obamacare subsidies, refusing any clean resolution until their entitlements were enshrined, all while the masses starved of SNAP's meager alms, 42 million souls scraping by on partial crumbs because Schumer's horde deemed healthcare histrionics worthier than feeding the frail. Yet how the left wails, fingering Republicans as the villains for spurning their bloated demands, as if Thune's steadfast rejection of a year's subsidy sop were not the bulwark against fiscal folly; Schumer himself bleats of GOP "anti-reform" malice, Sanders snarls of impending authoritarian doom, blind to their caucus's crumbling spine. And lo, it required eight brave souls from their ranks: King, Fetterman, Cortez Masto, Shaheen, Hassan, Rosen, Kaine, even Durbin—to shatter the stalemate, crossing to the righteous Republicans for a threadbare compromise sans victory, merely a promised vote doomed to dust.
Pray tell, how then is this the Republicans' fault, when the left's unyielding greed forged the chains, and their own deserters alone pried them loose? Pathetic hypocrisy, a feast for the scornful.
