SignWriting.org -- A Writing System for Sign Langauages

SignWriting, a writing system created by Valerie Sutton that allows sign languages to be written, read, typed, archived, and published just like spoken languages. Launched with its first post in September 1996 and still looking closely to what it probably looked like in 1996, the site is still actively maintained with the latest post being made at the beginning of 2026.
