‘Monster’ rock-thrower who fractured skull of 8-year-old girl on school bus is an illegal migrant from Mexico: DHS

An illegal immigrant from Mexico, Hernando Garcia-Morales, allegedly threw a baseball-sized rock from an overpass onto a New Jersey Turnpike school bus, fracturing the skull of an 8-year-old girl. Garcia-Morales, with a criminal history dating back to 2006, was arrested twice in 2023 but not charged due to New Jersey's sanctuary policies. Despite this, he has been charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, possession of a weapon, criminal trespassing, and criminal mischief in connection with the rock attack. The Department of Homeland Security has lodged an arrest detainer against him, and the Department of Justice is suing four Garden State cities for obstructing federal immigration authorities.
