Planning for spring

When it's cold out (it's bitterly cold in the Midwest right now), I like to plan what I want to do in the spring. Mainly I'll be cleaning up native plant beds, this year. What are you working on?

Anyone propagating interesting plants this year?

I have some elderberry cuttings that rooted before the winter. Excited to see how they do in the spring.

Missing coneflowers this week

Yesterday was beautiful, but today around Chicago we are covered in snow. Here's one flower I miss from last summer.

About

Share photos of native plants. Ask questions about gardening. Talk about invasive removals or happy little insects. We'd love to see your garden or your favorite moth or the weird enormous plant that you found.

Community Guidelines

Let's all stay cool. Remember that what's native in your area might be invasive for someone else, and vice versa. Be helpful if you can, and don't spam or self promote too much.
