1. Maps Only
Post actual maps, cartography, atlases, data visualizations, satellite imagery. Not directions to your house or doodles on napkins.
2. Quality Matters
High-resolution images preferred. If we have to squint to see details, it's not mapporn, it's map disappointment.
3. Credit the Source
If you know who made it or where it's from, share it. Mapmakers deserve recognition.
4. Describe What We're Looking At
Add a title or comment explaining what the map shows. "Cool map" doesn't cut it. Tell us what makes it cool.
5. No Low-Effort Posts
Screenshots of Google Maps with your morning commute aren't impressive. Put some thought into it.
6. Stay Civil
Discuss maps, debate projections, argue about borders, just don't be a jerk about it.
