@Kriem5dChinese Nachtegaal in huidige vorm nog tot en met 8 maart te zienThis news article from Wonderwijzer reports that the Efteling theme park will stop operating the current version of 'The Chinese Nightingale' from March 9th. Premium subscribers can visit the attraction for the last time on March 7th and 8th. The area will be closed for renovations to make way for a new 'Fairytale Library', the 32nd fairytale in the park. While the current building is too damaged to preserve, the story of 'The Chinese Nightingale' will still be featured in the new area.
@Kriem5dHooghmoed voor het eerst ingetekend op plattegrondThis news article from Wonderwijzer reports on the new Efteling attraction, Hooghmoed, which has been officially drawn on the park's blueprint for the first time. The blueprints are displayed on construction boards near Baron 1898 and the Flying Dutchman, with an alternative path now open next to Piraña due to maintenance on the Flying Dutchman. The inclusion of Hooghmoed on the blueprints may suggest an earlier opening than the planned summer of 2026, as hinted by an Efteling employee. Construction has resumed on the site after a winter break, with a foundation already laid and a chimney pillar erected, fitting the mining theme of the Baron 1898 area. Hooghmoed will be a new family attraction next to the dive coaster, featuring a freefall experience in one of three towers, with an expected capacity of 600 guests per hour.

@Kriem4dDit gaat er veranderen in het Sprookjesbos vanaf 2027Sprookjesbos will expand with the addition of the Sprookjesbibliotheek and a renovated Chinese Nightingale area starting in 2027. The area around the Chinese Nightingale will be adapted to make way for the 32nd story: the Sprookjesbibliotheek. The Chinese Nightingale, one of the original stories of the Sprookjesbos, will return in a new form. The current version of the Chinese Nightingale, opened in 1999, is the last story designed by Ton van de Ven. Due to the condition of the building, a new choice is necessary. The ornamental garden, which has been part of the Sprookjesbos since 1952, will be preserved. It will remain a peaceful spot for visitors with statues, a gazebo, a pond with carp, and a romantic little bridge.
