AI Isn’t Crashing — the Hype Is
Hot take: AI isn’t about to die.
But a lot of what’s wrapped around it probably is.
We’re deep in the phase where everything is suddenly “AI-powered.” Half-baked products, flashy demos, founders pitching vibes instead of value. Slap “AI” on it, raise money, repeat.
That never lasts.
What usually happens next is a correction. The noise dies down. The easy money dries up. A bunch of companies quietly disappear. And everyone suddenly acts like they “saw it coming.”
That’s not artificial intel failing. That’s the hype bubble doing what hype bubbles always do.
The core tech? That’s solid. It’s not going anywhere. Models will keep improving, tools will get cheaper, and real-world uses will stick. AI will stop being a personality trait and start being plumbing—quiet, useful, everywhere.
Think internet after the dot-com crash. Same story.
So yeah, the bubble might pop.
Good.
That’s when the gimmicks leave and the real work begins. 🤷♀️
