Search icon missing from page on Android app

As you can see, the magnifying glass is missing from the image on the left. That is how the page looks when I first navigate to it. In order to get the search icon to appear, I need to navigate away from this page and then go back to it. Once I do, the search function is available.

One other thing, I only seem to get results for communities and users, not posts. I've seen other screenshots showing people receiving search results for posts so no idea why I'm not getting any.
