Idea: No politics/News Button

I’m advocating Digg make a button at the top of the app which allows you to cut out all politics and news from your feed if you want.

I’m mental health provider and I’ve been striving hard to find a way to help my patients have a social media without the stress of news and politics.

If Digg did this, it would make headlines, become more popular, and I think people would flock to it. The world is depressing, scary, and decisive. Why can’t we just have a place that shares cool things and interesting things that build community? In convinced many people would flock here from other platforms (eg Reddit).

I am a MD PHD Neuroscientist and Psychiatrist. If you chose to do this I’m happy to give you free publicity and put my name out there to support you in this mission.

Does the community want this? If yes, ideas for implementation?
