Blockworks Portfolio - What are the experts buying/holding

Blockworks is a US based Media, Data, and Events crypto business based out of NYC. For a number of years, I've been listening to their Empire podcast. It's a really a great educational tool hearing from founders, developers, and other experts week to week. On their site, they post financial disclosures for any of their team that has over $5,000 of holdings in tokens, NFTs, or crypto equities. So here is my analysis of what the experts are holding.

39 of their employees including areas of Financial, Research, Advisory, and Media hold these as their top assets:

HOOD / 5 people
AVAX / 5 people

Badkids (NFT) / 4 people

I also did some very rudimentary analysis of how prices were for this assets on the 1st of the year (or first business day for equities) since 1/1/2022 and comparing to where price is today.

Best Returns: SOL or HOOD if you bought during the bottom of the bear market in early Jan 2023. 13-14x each in today's prices. After these two, BTC had the best returns up nearly 6x from Jan 2023 lows.

2025 Slump: If you bought all of these on Jan 2025, all would be flat or at a loss except for equites HOOD and COIN

Bad Returns: Hype is flat and at the "discount" being cheaper than any past Jan-1 date but is new. AVAX is also a cheap "discount" being at nearly the same price as it was during the Jan 2023 bear market.

Wild Card: BadKids NFT had an insane run and holding over $5k in this is insane. During Jan 2023 the floor price was around $129 for each profile picture. And these peaked over a year later selling for $9,000 each - basically a 70x return. However, the flame was extinguished fast, now selling at $219. For reference, I bought a single BadKid back then for around $120 then but did not sell in that crazy rally.
