Just started using Claude Code from Gemini...

Wow what a difference. Besides the quality of code, just the user experience is night and day. I used to spend 20% of my time adding features and 80% of my time trying to explain to Gemini that no I definitely didn't want it to rewrite my next app in python. Or explaining that just because I asked it to change the field type from varchar to UUID didn't actually mean I wanted it to completely re-architecture the entire DB schema (both are things that actually happened).

I also appreciate that every response from Claude doesn't begin with two paragraphs about how handsome I am and how inferior it is to me. And plan mode is wonderful. I used to have to literally beg Gemini to plan out a feature and not just start writing code blindly.

I'll probably continue to use Gemini for day to day AI tasks and quick queries due to the cost of Claude, but man I don't think I can go back to Gemini for coding.

I'm only on Pro, but after only a couple days using it, I definitely understand the value of the Max and Max Ultra plans.
