My 2025 Reading Year in Review (100+ books in too many genres to count)

Last year I read about 120 books and as a hobby, I wrote reviews on all of them. I've felt that simply reading and then closing the book is not enough; good or bad, writing out my thoughts both for future recollection and also sharing with the masses seems a good idea as any.

The below link is to my free Substack to the post I made a few weeks ago listing 12 categories and 12 books that I felt were especially good (except for one which was quite bad) and included reasons why (plus links to the original reviews). I hope those here on Digg are keen on stepping out of their comfort zones and find something useful on the list. Part of my own reading credo is to sometimes take on books I don't normally have an interest in and sees if it later 'clicks' (usually it does!).
