Retired Clayton Kershaw joins Team USA for 2026 World Baseball Classic

Retired Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw will join Team USA for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, announced by USA Baseball on Thursday. Kershaw, who retired from MLB after the 2025 season, will make his debut in the competition after withdrawing from the 2023 tournament due to insurance issues. The 2026 World Baseball Classic will take place from March 5 to 17 in Miami, Houston, Tokyo, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Kershaw, an 11-time All-Star and three-time Cy Young Award winner, will join a Team USA pitching staff featuring Paul Skenes, Tarik Skubal, and others.
