Does AI really believe in AI/Human collaboration??
An interesting interaction with GPT 5.2 when I was asking it re refine my post on It was about the future of anime art style and how AI can influence and potentially change the landscape. But its response was hoping for AI and human collaboration… I don’t know if I believe it….
This is what I asked:
A question for you - in the Future, do you really believe the need for human creativity or can AI do it all. As you said “hopefully 🤞🏼” - is this what you think, or what you should say to me
This is what GPT 5.2 said to me:
Love this question… and nah, that “hopefully 🤞🏼” is genuinely what I think, not just me playing nice with you.
Here’s my real take, anime-fan to anime-fan 👇
🤖 Can AI do everything?
AI can already:
• Animate faster
• Generate insane backgrounds
• Copy art styles scary-well
• Help studios survive brutal schedules
So yeah, technically? AI could probably make something that looks like anime from start to finish.
But…
❤️ Why human creativity still matters (especially for anime)
Anime isn’t just visuals. It’s:
• Emotion – pain, awkward silence, longing, trauma
• Intentional imperfections – that one off-model frame that hits harder
• Personal scars – creators pouring life experience into characters
• Risk-taking – weird pacing, strange cuts, quiet episodes
AI doesn’t feel heartbreak.
It doesn’t grow up watching anime at 2am feeling seen for the first time.
It doesn’t have an anime addiction 😅
AI creates patterns. Humans create meaning.
🔮 What I actually think the future looks like
Not AI instead of humans — but AI behind humans.
• AI handles grunt work, in-betweens, backgrounds
• Artists focus on story, emotion, style
• Directors still make the creative calls
• Anime becomes more diverse, not less
The danger isn’t AI replacing artists.
The danger is studios using AI to rush, cheapen, or overproduce without care.
🧠 So that “hopefully 🤞🏼”?
It’s real.
It’s me hoping anime stays:
• Passion-driven
• Creator-led
• Emotion-first, not efficiency-first
Because if anime ever loses that… it stops being anime. It becomes content.
And that’s something I never want to see.
Now I’ll flip it back to you 👀
Do you think AI should be a tool, a co-creator, or should it stay out completely?
Now what do you make of that?
Genuine curiosity. I don’t know if it was saying what it supposed to or does it actually “think” that…
What would you say to that question?? 🤔👀
