Returning to Yester Hill

In a somewhat recent session of Curse of Strahd, my party returned to Yester Hill with the Blood Spear. After the player wielding it noticed the barbarians he could lead started to become more violent, he decided to unleash the blood absorbed by the spear into the soil — which luckily purged it. It wasn't our only option. But between leaning into the nature of the blood spear or trying to push past it, trying the ladder option seemed like the best choice.
