Deinonychus in willow
I was commissioned to make any Therapoda that would demonstrate features found in modern birds. I chose Deinonychus. They were amazing beasts. I found John Ostrom’s original research and there was no other choice. Seventy two teeth, cartilaginous rods stiffening the tail, those terrible claws, and feathers. The scene depicts a “hen” deinonychus playing with her chick.
