Apple's John Ternus Takes Over Design in Latest CEO Succession Move - MacRumors
Apple's hardware chief John Ternus has been overseeing Apple's design teams since late last year as part of a succession plan to potentially take over as CEO, according to Bloomberg. CEO Tim Cook expanded Ternus' responsibilities, and Ternus is now the executive sponsor of all design, managing communications between the design staff and executive team. Design decisions are made by consensus, with Ternus, software engineering chief Craig Federighi, and marketing chief Greg Joswiak all having a say. Ternus is considered the most likely candidate to succeed Cook as CEO, though Cook has not announced any plans to retire.
