some top research in this McKinsey report on the value AI is providing businesses
To no surprise not many industries are benefiting or able to measure the benefit of using AI just yet. Interesting to see who is leading the race - 'strategy and corporate finance'.
ChatGPT summary of the report:
Nearly 9 in 10 respondents say their organisations now use AI regularly (88%), but most are still stuck in experiments and pilots and only about one-third report scaling AI across the enterprise.
Agentic AI is rising: 39% say they’re experimenting with AI agents and 23% say they’re scaling an agentic system somewhere, yet agent scaling in any single function is still reported by 10% or less.
Teams are seeing pockets of value (including 64% saying AI enables innovation), but enterprise impact is uneven, with only 39% reporting EBIT impact at scale, and “high performers” stand out by redesigning workflows and aiming for growth and innovation, not just efficiency.
