Brown Hill to get million-dollar mountain bike park (Victor Harbor)
Following the passionate advocacy of 15-year-old Karl Lang, a new million-dollar mountain bike park is set to be built in Brown Hill, South Australia. The South Australian government has granted $1 million to the Victor Harbor Council for the acquisition of 50 hectares of land. The park aims to provide challenging mountain bike trails while preserving the environment. Victor Harbor Council will develop a masterplan for the park, with elements expected to be delivered within five years. A local tour operator, Escapegoat Adventures, welcomes the initiative but urges for more government investment in mountain biking to boost tourism.
