Women’s charity celebrates £22,000 worth of grants to support education for women

The Diamond Education Grant, established by Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland, celebrates £22,000 worth of grants to support women's education on the UN's International Day of Education. The grants, now in their 54th year, have provided 340 scholarships since 2009, totaling approximately £340,000, aiding women in securing new qualifications and boosting their career prospects. This year, 22 women from Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean received grants, including Milly Fyfe, who used hers to learn foraging and cooking to help other parents. The charity aims to provide universal access to education and training for women and girls, advocating for gender parity and empowerment.
