BODYCAM: Baltimore Police officer involved shooting after reaching into car and being dragged

On January 7, 2026, Baltimore Police Officer Rayon Lawrence conducted a traffic stop where he identified a vehicle with a suspended registration. Upon returning the driver's license and registration, Officer Lawrence observed a firearm in the driver's waistband. He then issued verbal commands and proceeded to disarm the driver, Marquise Wells, who fled the scene, dragging the officer.
