W aims to become Europe’s alternative to X

Anna Zeiter, a former Ebay executive, is launching W Social, a new social network aiming to make Europe more independent technologically. In 2024, 25.4% of young Europeans aged 15-29 were employed during formal education. The Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany had the highest shares of young people working and studying simultaneously. Women tend to participate more in formal education than men but are less likely to be employed or seeking employment when not in education.
